This series is an exploration of abstract art.
When a painter creates an abstract painting, they are creating an image that originates in their imagination. Pollock’s drip paintings, for example, are a physical manifestation of his self-expression. The photographer does not have this luxury, regardless of the content of the image that they create, what they capture will always contain an element of truth.
While exploring this series I have questioned, can photography truly be abstract? My images are not a creation of my imagination; rather they are manipulated scenes, rooted in reality.

I like them! I love LOVE the third from the end, but it's less abstract than the others. I don't know if that's a concern.
Remember when I told you that I had been thinking about these photos for a while? Yeah, still obsessed! As I was driving to work this morning I was reliving them in my head. A.mazing!
Really love these. Looked at them 3 times today so far. Do you sell your work? I would buy. These would look incredible on a wall.
That last one is amazing. Also obsessed with the 4th from last, 2nd from beginning, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th is my absolute favorite. Wow.
one day will you make me out of focus? I like where this focus obseession is taking you :)
